Accelerating Decarbonisation for Carbon-Intensive Industries

Levidian is a British climate tech business supporting customers in the world’s most carbon-intensive industries to decarbonise their operations and products.

Underpinned by our patented LOOP technology, we capture the carbon from methane gas before it’s burned and crack it into clean hydrogen and high-quality graphene - a super-material that can be used to enhance the intrinsic characteristics of products in industries as far ranging as steel, batteries and petrochemicals.

We are already working with some of the world’s largest companies and have sold LOOP and graphene to 50+ customers globally, with 10 LOOP units in the field or under construction today.

Levidian’s Three-Pillar Approach

Our decarbonisation solution is structured around three core pillars:   

• Carbon Capture: Creating commercial value through pre-combustion carbon capture.   

• Carbon Prevention: Reducing CO2 emissions by providing a viable hydrogen alternative to fossil-fuels.   

• Carbon Utilisation: Enhancing the performance & efficiency of products using high-quality graphene.   

LOOP: The Transformative Technology Unlocking Decarbonisation 

Our core technology LOOP can be deployed anywhere with a methane source – whether it be grid, flare of vent gas – and is designed as a self-contained modular system that can be quickly and easily retrofitted to existing infrastructure, so businesses can feel the benefit of decarbonisation from day one and scale the technology over time.    

Levidian in the UAE

In late 2023, we announced our plans to make the UAE the focus of our first international expansion, marking a significant milestone in our growth.

By 2024, we had officially established our presence in Abu Dhabi with the opening of our new office.

That same year, we committed to investing approximately $100 million in the UAE to establish a state-of-the-art delivery centre. This hub will serve as both a showcase for our cutting-edge technology and the central base for our operations in the Middle East. Once operational, the centre is projected to generate 100 high-skilled professional and manufacturing roles, alongside an estimated 150 indirect jobs, boosting the local economy and innovation ecosystem.

Our momentum in the region continues to accelerate, driven by strategic partnerships and groundbreaking projects:

• Strong investor support: We are backed by two world-class partners, Mubadala and Baker Hughes, whose confidence underscores the transformative potential of our technology.

• World-first projects: In collaboration with ADNOC and Baker Hughes, we are deploying our technology at an operational gas processing site. Additionally, through a partnership with Tadweer Group, we will be capturing the carbon from biogas at one of Abu Dhabi’s largest landfill sites.

• Pioneering academic collaboration: We have joined forces with Khalifa University’s Research & Innovation Center for Graphene and 2D Materials (RIC2D) to help further the UAE's decarbonisation efforts by exploring carbon capture from gas flaring and future applications for graphene.
